Carpet Cleaning – my own Utah Home
I recently cleaned the carpets in my home and i could not believe how dirty they were. We vacuum three to four times per week but i was still washing a ton of dirt out of my carpets. Unsatisfied rug doctor customer – Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning Saves the Day
The rug doctor fails again. One of my customers in Holiday, Utah rented a rug doctor and tried to clean his carpets himself. Well, he found out its not as easy as it looks. He was not able to remove his spots or stains and his carpets were getting soaked. He called and scheduled with us for same day cleaning. When I arrived, his Rug Doctor machine was still in the middle of the room. Everything cleaned up well, and yes I made it look easy. The right equipment, the right know how, and the right chemicals make a big difference. Next time he needs his carpets cleaned he’ll also save money by not renting the Rug Doctor first.

Does it feel like summer yet?
It took a while to get here, even after the calendar said it should be hot and sunny. Summer is a preferred time for many people to clean their carpets, but with our low moisture quick drying cleaning; it’s purely a matter of preference of when you decide to clean.
One of the main considerations for when you should clean your carpets is : How often do they need cleaning? Are they ready? Ready does not mean is your carpet thoroughly soiled. If your carpets are thoroughly soiled it is probably past the time they should have been cleaned.
Successful carpet cleaning will remove 80 to 90% of the soil from the carpet. If the carpet was thoroughly soiled (filthy) and 80% of the soil is successfully removed your carpet can still hold a lot of soil.
You cannot correct a lack of maintenance with a single carpet cleaning.
Remember your carpets need regular maintenance. That means vacuuming often and regular carpet cleaning. If the carpets become overly soiled, it’s not an easy thing to correct. It may take more than a single cleaning to get the desired results.
Prevention is the cure. Cleaning every 6 to 12 months is a good rule of thumb.
Proper care and maintenance of your carpet will extend its useful life and preserve its appearance for years and years. Failure to take care of it will result in premature wear. Additionally, clean carpets contribute to a healthy indoor environment. Dirty carpets can be unhealthful indeed.
Your carpets actually promote a healthier indoor environment by holding otherwise airborne allergens, dust, and other contaminants like a filter. Don’t take our word for it. Run your hand over your carpet in a well-lit room and see what is released into the air.
Save yourself money and maintain a healthy home by using the following simple carpet care tips.
• Vacuum your carpets three times a week using a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate) filter.
• Remove stains and spills as promptly as possible. This is best achieved with Chem-Dry Professional Strength Spot Remover. Remove as much excess as possible, then apply and blot with a clean white cloth. DO NOT rub the spot as this might grind the stain in further.
• Have your carpets cleaned and protected at least twice a year, or more often if you have children or pets.
• Utilize a carpet Protectant and Sanitizer to ensure the stain protection continues after the initial factory solution wear
Traffic patterns; Carpet Cleaning Has It’s Limits – Utah
Traffic patterns can be something that we all wish we didn’t have; but they happen anyways. I was recently out in Woodland Hills, Utah and had a customer with the usual high traffic patterns in her Berber carpet. She was concerned, and wanted them to look as good as possible. I informed her that excessive traffic patterns can be hard to get to look new due to the wear pattern that is created. Many Berber carpets are made with olefin fibers. Olefin does not retain it’s resilience and becomes increasingly difficult to clean with wear. Well after cleaning they looked very good. Instead of our standard pretreatment I used some a different chemical on it, and it did an exceptionally well job at correcting the dreaded traffic pattern.
Muddy Carpets!!! Yikes!!!
Kids and there muddy feet all over my carpets…Time to call Mr.Chem Dry, I know they do a great job!!! They can get all kinds of stains out and save my carpets!!!! Darn Kids!!!
