 Most furniture has a foam core which is essentially a sponge. The sponge will retain water creating a greater dry time. Water retention leads to mold and mildew growth in the furniture. As a chem dry tech with 6 plus years in the business i had all the knowledge of anything floor care related from carpet fibers to tile cleaning. Chem dry also does stone polishing in Utah, something i did not know a lot about. The other night me and my daughter went to get ready for bed and as i walked into our room i saw that she had gotten into the finger paints, which i thought i had in a safe place.
