I heard something  the other day that blew my mind! As manager of Mr. ChemDry, all commercial cleaning calls are sent to me for estimating , booking and scheduling. Recently I had the opportunity to give a carpet cleaning bid for one of our local Ford Dealerships. And as I was going over our process with the Facility Maintenance Manager, he mentioned to me another company by name that he had called for an estimate , a  so-called copy cat  NO Residue Cleaner. He stated that they specifically said they could not get ” Soda ” out of the carpet and they the cleaners, walked away from the  estimate right then. I mean come on!!!! Why would you say that to a potential customer ?  A kid could get soda out of a carpet with hot water and a shop vac!  Soda is water soluble.  They blew a quarterly cleaning contract on a soda spill. There goes their winter business!!  Needless to say , my technicians will have more work during the slow winter months now. The moral of the story is: If you don’t the business, send it my way! Ok, You have all heard of the “other guys” who claim to come to your home and clean an enormous amount of carpet for a very little money, Truth is, you will more than likely be disappointed with the end result. Just in the last two weeks or so I have been to three different customers’ homes for that very reason. Let’s start with the first. She had called a company with a reputable name, had her carpets cleaned and sure enough as soon the carpets dried, huge black streaks left in the carpets. I told her we can fix the problem and recleaned what the other place had already cleaned only a week prior. I called the next day and asked her if she liked the results of what we had done and she said was more than pleased. Second one. Very large home, small carpet company, cleaned her carpets and as soon they were dry, it brought up alot of old stains, including pet damage. Once again, we were able to correct what the other guys did. Last one. Just today I was at a home where the other guys had been and when they cleaned, the carpets were wet for three days, and the carpets still looked terrible, I cleaned the carpets today and they looked amazing when I was done.
