One of the most asked questions I get asked when I clean carpets for people is “When can I put the stuff back?”. What they are asking is usually “when can I expect the carpets to be dry?” The answer is “well that depends on what you do”. The air flow through the house and the temperature make all of the difference. Having the room temperature around 70 and having a couple of ceiling fans on will sometimes cut the dry time in half. However making the house colder and turning off the air circulation can more than double the dry time. A while back I had a customre who had us clean for them in a new home they were about to move into. It was cold outside, we cleaned in the evening and as soon as we were done they shut up the house turned the heater down to 40. They were very surprised the next day when they came over in the morning and the carpets were still slightly damp. As soon as they turned the heat up the carpets dried quick but they were concerned. In the summer months I have seen carpet dry in as quick as 45 minutes when there is adequate airflow and warmer temperatures.

I recently went into a home of a friend who has a dog and of course the dog wanted to see the visitors. After petting the dog for only one minute the dog was put down stairs and out of site. However the damage was done. My black jacket was full of dog hair. Being a black surface made the dog hair very vissable. When moving into a newer or different home it might be time to do a heavy Utah carpet cleaning. Preivious pets in the home are a concern because of the hair left behind and possible damage to the carpets due to urine and other bodily substances. There was a certain room with multiple spots of makeup and even nail polish that was spilled on the carpet. Surprisingly the nail polish was easier to remove than some of the other makeup. When it comes to carpet cleaning we find that most people will move the little stuff out of the rooms to be cleaned but will leave some of the big furniture in place. If spills and traffic dont make it under the couch that has stayed put for 5 years then it may not need to be moved at every cleaning unless you plan to change their locations. Vacuuming should be done under them every 6 months or so to cut down on dust build up but professional carpet cleaning may not be necessary under them every time. While many Utah carpet cleaning companies do a good general scrubbing some carpets may require some extra attention. Recently I cleaned for a family that had many cats and dogs inside the house. They tracked in lots of soils and the dogs had accidents in the house in many areas. To remove the coloring we used a pre-treatment that soaked into the carpet for about 20 minutes and I then cleaned as usual. You can see from the picture that the soils and yellowing came out in this carpet type. Though we can not always guarantee every spot will come out we have amazing results with the Pre-treatment/traffic line remover. You would be surprised what we can do to the dirtiest of carpets.

We try very hard to service anyone anywhere. Recently I had to travel on roads shown in this picture to find a house in a rural part of Heriman. I cleaned a very large and very nice trailer home for a customer that I have already cleaned a second home for.
