Its around that time we call spring cleaning. Where we do those cleaning jobs that we don’t always want to do but definitely need to be done. Commercial Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Twice a year we go up to the Iron Blossom Lodge at Snow Bird Resort to clean the carpets and upholstery. We do all the common area’s and half the upholstery each time. It takes three days to do and this time I got to go and help. It was very interesting to see how it was all done. everybody did such a wonderful job and we got done on time. The place really looked great when we were done. They were even still open to ski. So if you ski head on up to Snow Bird while they are still open and stop in at the Iron Blossom Lodge and see the great work that our crew did.

Human and Pet spots

Today I helped a customer that I had cleaned for in the past. In fact I just cleaned for her about a month and a half ago. She however had a problem with her dog having diarrhea in the basement. The dog had had multiple problems and the brown spots weren’t coming up with the customer working on it. She also complained about the smell. So she called and asked for her favorite carpet cleaner and I was able to disinfect the spots, pre-treat the spots and all of the spots came out. She said that it smelled great and clean when I left.

It is so awesome doing something for our fire fighters! Just finished a 2 days of cleaning, bringing 50 year old carpet and tile back to livable condition for the Hill Air Force Base Fire Dept. Those guys are the coolest!! The feeling I got when I was done and showing them the end result was Phenomenal. If you ever get the opportunity to doing something for your local fire department, do it . Even though they paid for the work, I feel blessed to have done something for someone who really deserves a good deed once ion a while. Don’t you agree ? And they deserve the job to be done well.

Do you know what your dog is doing downstairs?

Earlier this week I did some cleaning for a customer that had a dog that had just died. They knew that the dog had had a few messes towards the end but they had no Idea what messes the dog had done until I pulled out my high powered black light to find all of the spots that were not visible to the naked eye. Most of these spots found were ones the owner of the home knew nothing about. In a basement area that doesn’t get used as much dogs are known for sneaking down to and marking or relieving themselves where they won’t get caught. From my experience I would say that 40% of all homes I go to have pets. From those that have pets 60-70% of them know about a spot or two at least that the animals have done their business in. When I pull out the light though I would say that 80-90% of those with pets, I could find a pee spot in the carpet somewhere.

Bottom Line is, if you have a dog then you have a 80-90% chance there is pee spots in the carpet somewhere. Luckily that is where we come in and get the odors out and sanitize the areas. Call and ask for me, Jake. I specialize in removing pet urine. What you see in the picture is the Pet Urine Treatment that I put down in the carpet to remove the odors. Then I sprayed all the carpets with a professional hospital grade disinfectant to kill any germs, bacteria, allergens and other odors.

Dohhh!….. A Deer

Today I was on my way to a carpet cleaning appointment for a customer of mine that has me come out every 6 months or so. I was driving up to their house on the east bench of Salt Lake County when I came across a deer munching on the flowers and greenery. I stopped before I got too close to not scare it away then decided to take a picture. I then pulled forward twenty feet. The deer didn’t hardly move, just looked at me. So I pulled forward another twenty feet, same thing. So I just kept inching forward till I was right beside it and the deer watched me but never ran away. I was going to be late to my appointment if I didn’t keep going so I left it behind. The deer never really moved off or ran away while I saw it. The deer wasn’t afraid of a big ol Chemdry Van. I guess he/she knows quality carpet and upholstery cleaning too.

Pet Stains?

Urine deposited on carpet does not stay there, it penetrates the ﬁbers and contaminates both the backing of the carpet and the ﬂooring material below the carpet. Often, without your knowing, pets will urinate continually in the same general location. Urine odors can permeate from the ﬂoor, be it cement or wood, from the tack strip, and even from the framework of the house behind the walls. As the urine dries, the liquid evaporates but the urine crystals become even more concentrated and pungent. Simple cleaning will not remove this odor. Until recently, there was not a product available that was effective at removing urine odors. When P.U.R.T. contacts the source of the odor, it immediately begins a chemical reaction that destroys the urine odor.

How PURT Works:

The source and severity of the odor are determined, then the carpet will be rinsed and extracted with a hot water rinse to remove the bulk of the urine crystals.
In worst cases, the carpet is pulled back in the suspected areas to reveal the extent of the damage.*
If necessary, the pad will be removed and replaced.*
An odor blocking shellac may be applied to the sub-floor if determined necessary.*
P.U.R.T. will then be applied heavily to the tack strip, the sub ﬂoor, the baseboards and the carpet backing. It is necessary to apply this product heavily enough to dampen all areas affected by the urine. *
Over the next 24 to 36 hours, the ingredients in P.U.R.T. will react with the urine, and break down the odor causing components.
